Coppa Italia: Inter trump Juve

Inter are the first finalists in this year's Coppa Italia final. The Nerazzurri were the better team against Juventus in both games and showed, especially in the second leg, why they are one of the favorites in this tournament. A goal from Federico Dimarco was enough to secure a place in the final. Juventus, however, remained pale for over 90 minutes.

After Romelu Lukaku's late equalizer in the 95th minute in the first leg, Inter picked up where they left off. The Nerazzurri dominated the first few minutes at San Siro and repeatedly pushed Juventus into their own penalty area. After a few promising opportunities, the time had come in the 15th minute. Nicolo Barella played a sweet pass through the Old Lady's defense into the penalty area to Federico Dimarco, who coolly put the ball past Mattia Perin on the left and into the goal - 1-0 for Inter.

The Milanese hadn't had enough after the restart and scored the supposed 52-2 through Edin Dzeko in the 0nd minute. But the Bosnian's pass from the excellent Dimarco was just offside and the goal was disallowed. But Simone Inzaghi's players didn't let that bother them. It took a brilliant save from Perin to prevent Inter from taking the lead twice after a shot from Henrikh Mkhitaryan (75'). It never seemed like Juventus would find a way back into the game - Inter were always in control. The game ended 1-0.

Milan's final opponent will be determined on Thursday when Fiorentina plays against the surprise opponents from Cremonese. The Lilies won the first leg 2-0.
