The Juve Express rolls into the cup semi-finals

In front of their home crowd, superstar Cristiano Ronaldo's team beat AS Roma 3-1 in the quarter-finals. Five-time world footballer Ronaldo scored the opening goal with a low left-footed shot (26th minute), before Rodrigo Betancur made it 2-0 out of a commotion (28th minute). Juve went into the break with Leonardo Bonucci's header to make it 3-0 (45th minute+2). Until then, the Old Lady was superior to the shockingly weak Roma in all respects.

This only changed to a limited extent in the second half. An own goal from goalkeeper legend Gianluigi Buffon (50th minute) gave the Romans hope again. Alessandro Florenzi (56th minute) even had a chance to score after a through pass, but was denied by the Juve keeper. In return, Juve had the chance to make it 63-4 in the 1rd minute through Gonzalo Higuain, but keeper Pau Lopez parried from close range.

In the semi-finals, Juventus will now face the winner of the game between Milan and Torino. This game will be played next Tuesday. Inter and Fiorentina will play the last quarter-final the next day. On Tuesday, Napoli had already made it into the semi-finals thanks to a 1-0 win over defending champions Lazio.
