That feels really good: the FCS scores and wins again

Without question: FC Südtirol is having a fairytale season. But recently the White Reds went through their trickiest phase in this first Serie B season. The last “threesome” was on March 18th and the last goal scored was on April 1st. After five winless games in a row, Pierpaolo Bisoli's team is now back on the road to success. There was a well-deserved 1-0 win against Ternana away on Saturday.

The coach Bisoli mentioned had to sit in the stands in Terni. But his heart must have swelled in the 42nd minute. At that moment, Marco Curto made it 1-0 with perhaps the best FCS goal of the year, breaking his team's 405-minute goal ban.

Until then, the White Reds, who were coached that afternoon by assistant coach Leandro Greco, were clearly nervous. But with the hit the knot came loose. The FCS seemed eager to play, snappy, lively - and were closer to 2-0 in the second half than Ternana was to equalizing. Striker Raphael Odogwu was particularly impressive: the 1,88 meter tall powerhouse, who had recently lost some of his strong form from the first half of the season, had his feet in play with every attack. Odogwu deserved a goal that afternoon. On the other side, Andrea Masiello & Co. left nothing to chance and kept a clean sheet for the third time in a row.

FCS claims the coveted 4th place This victory has a very positive effect on the table, as the FCS was able to maintain fourth place. As is well known, Cagliari had drawn level on Friday, and now the White Reds are alone again in this coveted position, which entitles them to a direct semi-final entry in the playoffs. Ternana presses, but... ...is hardly dangerous! The FCS defense was bombproof in the second half. In the 81st minute, Lunetta made it 2-0, but he was denied by Iannarilli - but it would have been offside anyway. Goal disallowed After an assist from the tireless Raphael Odogwu, Jolly Lunetta made it 2-0 for the FCS in stoppage time. However, the goal is disallowed because there was a previous foul. The last home game of the championship is scheduled for next Saturday in the Drususstadion. Cittadella is a guest from 14 p.m. Incidentally, it wasn't just FC Südtirol that had reason to celebrate this Saturday. Genoa secured promotion to Serie A with a 2-1 win over Ascoli.
