These new names are circulating at FC Südtirol

The coaching construction site is coming to an end. Apparently preferred candidate Lamberto Zauli has agreed to the post as Javorcic's successor. The visit to the FCS Center in Rungg on Tuesday cleared up the last doubts. A two-year contract is available. But after the change of coach, the championship team is facing upheaval. FC Südtirol is getting a completely new face.

The currently hottest name is that of Hans Nicolussi Caviglia. The soon-to-be 22-year-old comes from the Juventus youth ranks and was considered a huge talent. He played three times for the Juventus professionals and was already a regular player in Serie B at the age of 18 (at Perugia, 27 games). This was followed by a move to Parma in Serie A, a torn cruciate ligament and a career break. In the last two years, Nicolussi Caviglia has only played six games for Turin's U23s. When he was fit, he trained with Max Allegri's professionals and was recently back on the bench in Serie A. Now the central midfielder could be the first FCS newcomer.

Bravo met with Juve vice-president Pavel Nedved, and apparently other Bianconeri players are also on the wish list. Cosimo Da Graca (20) is one of them. The Sicilian (a Champions League appearance) is a classic striker, powerful and strong in finishing. Last season he scored four times for Juve's U23s. On the former FCS youth player Emanuele Zuelli (20) Bravo is also said to be interested, but the man from Bolzano only has outside chances. There was interest in the left-back position Matteo Anzolin (21) registered. Returnees in high demand? A name that also appears is that of Matias Soulè (18). However, a move to South Tyrol is very unlikely - and not just because the Argentine has numerous offers from Serie A. Next to Fabio Miretti, Soulè is Juventus' biggest talent and has been invited to courses for the Argentine senior national team several times.

Simone Mazzocchi could return to FC Südtirol.

Considered a candidate for the attack Simone Mazzocchi (23), who scored 2019 goals for the FCS in the 20/9 Corona season. Two Serie B years followed, although last year he didn't get beyond the joker role (4 goals) at Ternana. Mazzocchi still belongs to Atalanta, which is why the FCS would have to negotiate a possible transfer with the Serie A club. Simone Corazza (31) – he, too, with an FCS past – would be of a different caliber. He now has 84 Serie B games under his belt and scored 12 times for Alessandria in the preseason. The striker wants to stay in the second division after the Piedmontese team was relegated and, according to media reports, has received a number of offers - including one from South Tyrol.

Giacomo Poluzzi will remain in the goalkeeper position. However, a new replacement goalkeeper will be needed as Gabriel Meli's loan will not be extended. The third goalie will also be different. Daniel Theiner (18) moves to Sassuolo, after he was on loan for the Emilians at the Viareggio tournament and was completely convincing. Bravo favors a local solution, it should be a young South Tyrolean player. Speaking of your own talents: Jonas Heinz (18) is supposed to gain experience at professional level; a loan from Naturns is on the cards.

These new names are circulating at FC Südtirol

The FC Südtirol players are still on vacation after winning the Serie C championship title. But a lot goes on behind the scenes. Sports director Paolo Bravo in particular has his hands full. He is working on the squad for the first Serie B season in the club's history.
