A downer and special praise before the FCS restart

After a three-week break, FC Südtirol is back on track. The batteries are recharged – at least at Bisoli. The charismatic trainer was bursting with energy at the final PK on Friday in Rungg. “The second half of the season is always more difficult than the first half of the season. Every result is important now,” said Bisoli.

Odogwu has never been able to take part in the entire team training in the last few weeks. On Thursday he had to stop the session after half an hour. “Rapha is an incredibly important player for us. That's why I take it with me to the bank. But it’s definitely not enough for the starting eleven,” explained Bisoli.

Tait set – who will play for Nicolussi Caviglia? However, the FCS coach is more relaxed about the departure of playmaker Hans Nicolussi Caviglia. “We will absorb this as a group – even if he was a strong player for us. His class was last seen in his Serie A debut for Salernitana. He was immediately one of the best on his team.”

The FCS didn't get the 26 points in the first half of the season because of Nicolussi Caviglia, but because, according to Bisoli, the team worked as a unit. Who could replace Nicolussi Caviglia in midfield? “Belardinelli, Pompetti and Schiavone come into consideration for this. But Siega could also play in central midfield alongside Fabian Tait. For me, Fabian played an outstanding first half of the season. He basically closes all the gaps in front of the defense.” New signing Gabriel Lunetta, on the other hand, is struggling. The short winter break is over for FC Südtirol. On Sunday, the white and red host Brescia Calcio at the start of the second half of the season. At the press conference before the first game of the year, FCS coach Pierpaolo Bisoli was in a chatty mood.
