FCS defends itself to win points in Parma

In a few days no one will be asking how the points were won in Parma. But the fact is that FC Südtirol was inferior to the hosts in all respects. Only the defensive bar around Andrea Masiello held firm and secured a point for the white-reds. This keeps the FCS in fourth place in Serie B and thus in a secure playoff place. However, the South Tyroleans in Parma did not act in the style of a top team (and the fourth-placed FCS is definitely that) - on the contrary. The FCS professionals were chasing the ball for three quarters of the game. Not conceding a goal was coach Pierpaolo Bisoli's top priority. However, 75 percent of ball possession (after the break it was an incredible 81 percent) was not enough for Parma to win the game. Only Parma Bernabè tried to go it alone, but was denied by Poluzzi (45th+1). After the break there was no sign of the FCS, but the defensive bar held firm. Best chance After a free kick, Masiello deflected the ball and Poluzzi had to risk his life to save from Inglese, who was ready to shoot - the best chance of the game (58th). Four minutes later, a cross shot from Coulibaly hit the FCS crossbar (62'). They finished from a good position, but the ball went wide (66'). The same applies to a header from Valenti (69th). Defensive wall holds In the final phase, Curto saved from a Valenti shot (81'). A cross from Bonny turned into a shot that Poluzzi brought out of the danger zone with his fingertips (86'). FC Südtirol is extending its series of unbeaten games. The white and reds played to a goalless draw in Parma on Saturday afternoon. Captain Fabian Tait & Co. have not lost in 10 games.
