FCS unrecognizable: victory for Como's starting team

Two games, two wins. That is Bisoli's record as an FCS coach. The promoted team had previously not picked up a point in three games. This is what a trainer effect looks like. In Como, Simone Mazzocchi (79th) and Daniele Casiraghi (87th) ensured a 2-0 win. With the win, the South Tyroleans leave the relegation and playout zone.

Como's starting squad (including Spanish world and European champion Fabregas and ex-Italy national players Patrick Cutrone and Daniele Baselli) has had to do without coach Giacomo Gattuso, who is ill, for several weeks. On Thursday the club announced that they were looking for a new coach. Assistant coach Massimiliano Guidetti was on the bench against FCS. Fabregas came on after 67 minutes and sealed the defeat with a handball in his own penalty area. FCS promotion hero Casiraghi converted safely.

Mazzocchi had previously taken the lead. After a wonderful cross from Casiraghi, the striker headed in the lead (79'). At this point Como only had ten men left because Jacopo Da Riva had been shown the red card after a rude foul on Luca Belardinelli (50'). The most important scenes at a glance The FCS has the first great chance of the game: After a counterattack, Odogwu shoots at goal and Mazzocchi fails to put the rebound from 7 meters into the goal. That should have been the lead (23rd). Cutrone is the home team's most dangerous attacker. He had his best chance after 40 minutes when his low shot from 11 meters was missed by Poluzzi, who reacted brilliantly. The FCS goalie had already parried against Cutrone (17th). Four and a half minutes after being substituted, Da Riva was shown a red card after hitting Belardinelli completely on the shoulder with a high foot. A right decision. Now it's quick and easy: first Zaro hits the post with a header (53'), then Cutrone's goal is rightly ruled out for offside (60'). Odogwu saves a Cerri header on the goal line (63'). The lead for the FCS: A wonderful Casiraghi cross heaves Mazzocchi into the box. His first goal of the season (79th). 86th minute: FCS is awarded a penalty after a handball by Fabregas. FC Südtirol achieved its second win in a row. The White Reds won in the majority with superstar Cesc Fabregas and Como 1907. New coach Gianpaolo Bisoli's record is flawless.
