Simon Laner is the most successful active South Tyrolean football player. In the autumn of his career, the Merano native moved to Bergamo, where he has made his home with his family for several years. Now the Lombard city has become the Italian epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic - and the situation is correspondingly dramatic, as Laner explains.
