Virtus gives clear leadership

Virtus started the game against the fifth-placed team with a lot of momentum and enthusiasm. In the 5th minute Andi Kicaj played the ball across for David Okoli. He shook off his opponent and sent the ball into the far corner with a diagonal shot from eight meters away. After around 9 minutes, Este got better going. With the guests' first notable action, they equalized. Menato headed a long cross into the middle towards Pircher. He punched the ball away, but the referee saw the ball already behind the line.

Just a minute later, Munaretto crossed into the middle, and Piccardi, who was positioned in the middle, caused excitement in the Virtus defense with a direct pass. In the 37th minute, Davide Cremonini brought a corner into the middle, Arnaldo rose to the top of the penalty area and pushed the ball over the line with his head. After opportunities from Peliello and Centinazzo, stoppage time in the first half was already running. Again Davide Cremonini brought a corner into the middle - this time from the left - Arnaldi Kaptina headed the ball into the middle from a position on the second post and Tine Kavcic maneuvered the ball over the line with his head. It was the Slovenian's first goal in the Virtus uniform.

An up and down At the beginning of the second half, Virtus was completely out of control. In the 49th minute they ran into a counterattack that Andi Kicaj was only able to defuse with all his routine in the penalty area. Then the two fatal minutes began for the men around coach Alfredo Sebastiani. In the 50th minute, the Virtus defense “forgot” Menato after a corner and he only had to hold out his foot to make it 2-3. Less than a minute later things got even more violent for the people of Bolzano. Piccardi crossed from the left and hit Kicaj on the hand. The referee pointed to the penalty spot and Menato safely sank the penalty. It was the third goal of the afternoon for the Este attacker.

In the 55th minute, the Virtus penalty area was once again on fire. First, Franzolin completely missed a low cross from the right. De Vido chased the ball that was left a few steps in front of the goal just wide of the goal. Two minutes later an opportunity for David Okoli: his diagonal shot from 20 meters just missed the second post. In the 68th minute, Peliello had the score 4-3, but the Este player was unable to capitalize on Santi's cross from 20 meters. In the 80th minute, substitute Yassine Bounou lost the score to 4-3 on the Virtus side. But his shot from the edge of the penalty area was too weak and too central.

Turbulent ending In the final phase, Virtus was once again all the way forward, but nothing more than a red card for the injured Elis Kaptina on the bench was in sight. The Virtus captain's protests after an alleged foul in the penalty area were too violent. Virus Bozen will play their next game away against Cjarlins Muzane next weekend.

Virtus gives clear leadership

The spectators saw six goals on Saturday in the game between Virtus Bozen and Este. The Talferstädters were already leading 3-1 at half-time, but had the butter taken away from their bread in two fatal minutes and had to settle for a draw in the end.
