No revolution at Bozner FC

Andreas Canal, the sports director of Bozner FC, is working on the sporting future of his club. Although: There isn't really much to tinker with in terms of personnel. The contracts with coach Flavio Toccoli and key players such as strikers Fabio Bertoldi and Joachim Degasperi, defense chief and captain Bernardo Ceravolo and goalie Daniel Kaneider were extended early on. “We have drawn up a long-term program and we want to see it through with our players,” explains Canal.

There will be movement in the youth sector. “We will incorporate some players from our youth department into the first team,” says Canal, who looks back with satisfaction on the past 2014/15 season. “You shouldn’t forget that we lost a lot of players long-term this year. In the first half of the season we had to make do without Degasperi, Piccoli, Gennacaro and Saltuari, and partly without Ceravolo. Bertoldi was out in the second half of the season.”

However, due to the bad luck with injuries, some other players made a positive impression. “I’m thinking of an Ochner who came from the first amateur league, or of Pareti, who did very well in a position that was new to him.”

Canal didn't like the series of defeats of six defeats in a row between the 14th and 19th matchdays. “The positive thing about this was that we stuck together during this difficult phase and continued to work calmly. That speaks for the solid foundation we have in the club. We have achieved our sporting goals,” concluded the sporting director.
