Finalist Kitzbühel had to cancel due to a scheduling conflict and so WSG Wattens is sending the second team, which is currently playing in the Tyrolean League (4th performance class), to Vinschgau. Two South Tyroleans also appear in the North Tyrolean squad: Mark Milesi played for St. Georgen, second in the Oberliga, last season, who were also crowned winners of the first edition of the Euregio Cup. 16-year-old Justin Pfeifer is also part of the Wattens team. Last year he played for Plose in the regional league in the first half of the season, but moved to Matrei (Tyrolean League) in the second half of the season. This year the youngster is under contract with the Wattens second team. The situation of the second Austrian team, the representatives from East Tyrol, is also special. The FC WK Nußdorf/Debant plays its championship and also the cup competition in the Carinthia regional association. There the East Tyroleans play in the West Lower League (5th performance class). Nußdorf came the furthest of the East Tyrolean representatives in the Carinthian Cup competition and qualified for the Euregio Cup. Nußdorf/Debant started the championship campaign last weekend in front of their home crowd and scored 2-2 at the start, although the home team's equalizer only came in the 90th minute. The two Italian representatives AC Trento and AC Virtus Bozen each won the state cup. AC Trient also triumphed in the Trentino regional league and is playing in the Oberliga (5th performance class) this year. The club from Trentino, which has been badly hit in recent years, continues to work very ambitiously and wants to make it to Serie D (fourth highest league/highest amateur league). The signing of former FC Südtirol defender Pietro Cascone underlines this plan. In the national cup final, AC Trento defeated Mori S. Stefano with 3-1 goals. AC Virtus Bozen has already been promoted to Serie D. The quality of the squad was improved through close cooperation with FC Südtirol. The capital city team qualified for the Euregio tournament thanks to a narrow 2-1 final win against ASC St. Georgen in Brixen.
