State league: Bozner FC moves up and away

The orange-blacks from the state capital fully lived up to their claims as title candidates on matchday 24. They beat Latzfons Verdings 4-0 away. Bozner FC performed like a top team from the start and were already 3-0 up at half-time. The “threesome” was just a formality.

At the same time, the leader benefits from the slip-up of pursuer Stegen, who lost 2:3 to Natz, eighth in the table. Experienced Bernd Mair gave the guests a 0-2 lead, but Pichler reduced the score to 69-1 after 2 minutes before Markart punished Stegen with an equalizer and Trenkwalder even secured Natz's home win in the 94th minute.

Second place is now taken by SC Neugries, who shot the struggling footballers from St. Pauls from the field 4-0. Things are anything but smooth at FC Meran at the moment. The former league leader had to be content with a 1-1 draw at penultimate Milland. Top scorer Scaratti gave the traditional club from the Passerstadt the lead, but Folino equalized with a penalty a few minutes before the end.

Virtus Don Bosco is also gradually losing touch with the top. The people of Bolzano drew 1-1 against Pichl Gsies. Meanwhile, Bozner Boden won at home against Vintl 2-1.

In the two early games of the 24th round of the championship, Weinstraße Süd and Moos scored a “threesome” on Friday and Saturday respectively.
