State league: The bottom surprises Plose

The goals in this game came late. Malfertheiner (65th) and Lantschner (78th) gave the guests the lead in St. Andrä. There was nothing more possible for the home team from Plose than Messner's goal in the final phase. Thanks to the first “threesome” of the current season, SG Schlern is (for now) leaving the bottom of the table.

However, leaders St. Pauls didn't let anything go wrong, celebrating a befitting 2-0 away win against Voran Leifers. The home side kept up well with the league leaders for long stretches of the game. Clementi made it 1-0 from the penalty spot after a Leifer player touched the ball with his hand after a cross. After the break, Leifers pushed for the equalizer. Space opened up for St. Pauls to counterattack. When Verdini had to leave the field with yellow and red, the Überetscher dealt the home team the knockout blow through Gasser, who hit the top corner from the edge of the penalty area.

The state league continues on Saturday with the game Latzfons Verdings - Bruneck. The remaining games of the 11th matchday are on the program on Sunday.
