State league: The relegation battle remains exciting

Four teams will be relegated from the state league to the 1st amateur league. Two of them have already been decided: Pichl Gsies and Neugries. The other two relegated teams have to be decided on the last two match days.

The worst teams at the moment are FC Bozen 96 and Moos, who are in 28th and 27th place with 30 and 13 points respectively, just behind Stegen (14). The Pusterers would be off the hook today. But even the teams that are a little further ahead in the table (Bozner Boden, Natz and Schlern) cannot rest on their laurels yet. They also have to secure their definitive stay in the league first.

FC Bozen 96, who beat Pichl Gsies 1-0 on Sunday, are visiting SC Passeier (34 points, 8th place). Moos, who scored a point at home against Obermais, has to go to Weinstraße Süd. The Unterlanders are well ahead in the ranking, but second place is out of reach for Huber & Co.

Obermais and Lana are fighting for second place Obermais (58) and Lana (56) want to take second place behind Naturns. The blue-whites host Stegen, which needs points to stay away from fourth-to-last place. Lana, on the other hand, has to go to bottom team Pichl Gsies, which has already been relegated.

By the way, the second place in the table will play a playoff against the second place from Trentino. The date was set for May 27th. If there are two runners-up in a province with the same points, a playoff will take place at the local level on May 27th and the one between the teams from the province of Bolzano and the province of Trento will take place on May 31st.

As far as the scorers list is concerned, the match between Plose and Latzfons stands out. Here, Hansi Stockner wants to further expand his tally of 33 hits and break Peter Mair's all-time record (36 goals).
