State league: Can Plose stop the autumn champions?

On Sunday the Blue-Whites will be visiting Plose as part of the 14th matchday, and a week later they will host Weinstraße Süd - two duels that will put Obermais to a tough test. The players from the Meran area have always had a hard time against the top teams in the league - against both St. Pauls and Partschins they were “only” enough to draw 1-1. That's another reason why Plose sees its chance: the Eisacktalers are currently in fourth place in the table and don't want to lose touch with second place. Nevertheless, Obermais goes into the game as the clear favorite, the Klotzner team has presented itself too hardened, too confident, too mature so far this season - with a ten point lead in second place, Obermais already has one foot in the top league. Since the title fight has now degenerated into a one-man show, the fight for second place is much more interesting. Partschins and St. Pauls are tied in second place with 25 points, although both teams have recently lost their sovereignty in the first games. Partschins has only won one of the last four games, St. Pauls is also in a mini-crisis after the defeat against Natz and the draw against Schlern. While the Untervinschgers (without the suspended Michael Tscholl) are already in Latzfons on Saturday, St. Pauls has to play the difficult home game against Salurn. The Unterlanders are positioned third from bottom in the table, but the long-awaited 2-0 victory against Bozen, coupled with the coaching change (Filippo Moratti came in as the new coach during the week), is likely to have unleashed a new kind of optimism in the former Oberliga Dino .

Lana under pressure While Salurn's trend is upwards, Lana's situation is becoming more and more serious. The Burggräfler have been waiting for a point win for a month now, which has also left its mark on the table: the Cassin protégés have slipped from 6th to 12th place. What speaks for Lana: There are only five points between 12th and 6th place. What speaks against Lana: On Sunday, Natz will be a fully euphoric opponent because St. Paul's victorious opponent will be second in the table and will want to move further away from the hot zone with a complete success. Speaking of the hot zone: The relegation battle of the round takes place on Bozner Talferplatz between Bozner Boden and Voran Leifers. The city club recently suffered a heavy defeat against the aforementioned Salurner, while Voran Leifers was able to gain some self-confidence with a zero against Weinstraße Süd.
