State league: Obermais wants to get closer to the top

Four points currently separate the Merano team from first place in the table. A deficit that the white and blue will try to reduce at the weekend. The FCO players can expect a solvable task on Sunday afternoon. They will meet second-to-last Neugries away from home, who recently suffered three defeats in a row. On paper, coach Franz Joseph Theiner's boys are the clear favorites. At the same time, they also hope for a resurrection of the Lana team.

The newcomer from the Burggrafenamt, who is currently in fourth place in the table, is hosting class leader Naturns on Sunday and will try everything to get back on track. For the Lanans, who were the surprise team par excellence at the start of the championship, things haven't been going quite well lately. In the second half of the season, coach Pauli Cassin's boys have only recorded four points and have not won in three matchdays.

The Naturns team celebrated four wins and a draw in five games in the second half of the season and want to continue their successful streak on Sunday. However, Lana has already proven to be a stubborn opponent for the yellow-blue team in the first half of the season. Back then, on September 28th, the two teams played a 3-3 draw.

Weinstraße Süd, third in the table, is also in action on Sunday. The Unterlanders will be visiting fifth-placed SC Passeier, who want to get back on the road to success as quickly as possible after the Niederalge against Obermais.
