State League: It's already getting down to business today

St. Pauls, currently six points clear at the top, is now challenged against Bruneck in Reischach after the hard-fought 2-1 win against bottom team Moos last Sunday. After a long dry spell (11 games without a “threesome”), the Puster team recently returned to winning ways against Schlern and want to trip up the league leaders.

That's exactly what second-placed Partschins is hoping for, who will also be in action on Saturday and has firmly planned for three points against Moos. The Passeirians have only won one game in the current championship and, 14 points behind the saving bank, are already back in the first amateur league with one foot.

The duel between Salurn (currently in 6th position in the table) and Schlern (13th) will also take place on Saturday. While the Unterlanders want to start an attack on fifth place, the footballers from the high plateau still have important points to gain in the fight against relegation.

The hit on Sunday takes place in Natz, where the Eisacktaler are doomed to win in the relegation duel against Freienfeld - otherwise their hopes of staying in the league will continue to shrink. Third-from-last Vahrn faces a very in-form Stegen, while Lana, currently only one point behind second-placed Partschins, has to make the difficult away trip to Leifers.
