State league: pure excitement from the basement to the top

The number of relegated teams this year depends on how many teams from the top league will move up to the highest amateur league in South Tyrol. In the worst case scenario, i.e. if four South Tyrolean Oberliga teams are relegated, six regional league teams have to return to the 1st amateur league. At the moment these would be Bozner Boden, Pichl Gsies, Latzfons Verdings, Sarntal, Milland and Vintl. However, if there were three South Tyrolean teams relegated from the upper house of regional football, five regional league teams would be affected. However, if two clubs from Trentino were to be relegated, the number of relegated teams from the regional league would be reduced to three.

The two newcomers Bozner Boden and Vintl are fighting for survival on Sunday. Both teams achieved promotion to the national league last summer. While Vintl is currently at the bottom of the table with 13 points (nine points behind second-to-last Milland), the club from the state capital is in eleventh place with 15 points more. The team from the lower Puster Valley does not expect an easy task on Sunday, as the people of Bolzano knew how to impress in the current championship, especially in front of their home audience. Of the eleven defeats they have suffered so far, only two at home, while Vintl has only managed to record one win away from home. In the first half of the season, Bozner Boden won 4-2 away.

In the upper half of the table, however, the focus on Sunday is on the game between Neugries and autumn champions St. Pauls. The role of favorite is given to the Bozen suburban club, which has so far collected five points more than the Überetscher in the second half of the season. Coach Hugo Pomella's team wants to build on home advantage on Sunday, as they have never lost at home this season. Nevertheless, Michael Osti and Co. have to be careful, because St. Pauls is the strongest away team traveling to the state capital, which gave them nothing in the first half of the season. At that time Neugries lost 0:5.

Weinstraße Süd and Laces are the beginning

It starts on Friday when the Weinstrasse Süd-Latsch game kicks off at 20 p.m. The match between Moos and Sarntal (Saturday, 20 p.m.) has also been brought forward, while the remaining six games will take place on Sunday at 16 p.m., as planned.
