State league: St. Pauls takes a point from leaders Meran

With 29 points in 15 first half games, the traditional club FC St. Pauls secured the autumn championship title at the end of November. However, the blue-whites are hampered in the second half of the season: To date, Gunther Staffler and Co. have only had one win and four defeats in the spring. On Sunday, however, they were able to get an important point in the top game against class leader Meran. While the guests took the lead in the first half, Schieder made the final score 1-1 after the break. Curious: The first leg also ended in a 1-1 draw.

In the second top game of the 21st matchday, Stegen and Neugries faced each other in Pustertal. The home side celebrated a 2-1 win after being 0-1 behind at the half-time whistle. Bozner FC, on the other hand, was able to gain ground in the table with a favorite win against newly promoted Latsch. The state capital team won 3-0 and are now on equal points with Stegen, just one point behind Meran. Bertoldi (two goals) and Piccoli scored the goals on Sunday.

The guests secured victory in the cellar derby between Vintl and Milland in the first half of the game thanks to Alex Alessandrini and Daniel Ortner. Moos also celebrated an away win, where Ramiro Lago made it 1-0 for the Passeirians right from the start. In Pichl Gsies, where Natz was a guest, no goals were scored on Sunday and Sarntal and Weinstraße Süd also had to share the points. In the Bozen city derby, Virtus Don Bosco brought the Bozen team to their knees 1-0 in front of their home crowd.

State league: St. Pauls takes a point from leaders Meran

On Sunday the 21st matchday was on the program in the highest amateur league in South Tyrol. Autumn champions St. Pauls still have to wait for a second win in the second half of the season, but were able to trip up leaders Meran and take a point from the top club.
