State league: Two derbies in focus

The eagerly awaited clash between Salurn and Leifers takes place in the southernmost village of South Tyrol. The two Unterland clubs are only separated by one point in the table, but have had different starts to the season. Because while the Oberliga veterans only achieved their first “threesome” on the fourth matchday, the newcomers, who had been unbeaten until recently, were brought back down to earth on Wednesday with a 0-3 home defeat against Natz. Both teams are currently in the lower midfield of the table and need at least a point to avoid slipping back into the relegation zone. The second derby is on the program in the Eisacktal, where Natz welcomes newly promoted Milland. The guests go into the game as clear outsiders, even though they were able to get four points from two games after two defeats at the start of the season. However, the home side have not lost a game yet and are sitting at the top of the table together with FC Obermais. Anything other than a success for Natzer would therefore be a big surprise.

Obermais and Weinstraße challenged away – Lana against Latsch only at 18 p.m The two unbeaten top teams Obermais and Weinstraße Süd all have to compete abroad on Sunday. While the league leaders are visiting SG Schlern, the Unterlanders are traveling to the Pustertal to bottom team Stegen. St. Pauls, also still undefeated, welcomes Latzfons and absolutely needs three points against the “undefeated” in order to stay in touch with the top of the table. The two encounters Bozner Boden against Plose and SC Passeier against Partschins round off the games on Sunday afternoon. However, the game day only ends with the match between Lana and Latsch (game starts at 18 p.m.).
