State league season 2012-13: This is AFC Moos

The Passeirer team, who were promoted to the national league just last season, finished the 2011/2012 championship in tenth place with 34 points. In doing so, they exceeded all expectations and secured their stay in the highest amateur league in South Tyrol for another year. In the coming championship, Moos will once again pursue one goal: to stay in the league.

The squad is a little smaller compared to last year, but not weaker. Christian Pixner has been confirmed as player-coach, but he will be out for the first few months due to heel surgery. As always, training takes place on the home pitch in Moos, but since this does not yet meet the regulations of the state league, all championship games will be played on the St. Martin sports field this year.

Additions New to the club is midfielder Matthias Prünster from Tyrol, who played for St. Martin in Passeier for the past two years. In addition, the two defenders Gert Gufler and Jonas Landthaler, as well as the striker Patrick Ennemoser, three players from our own youth are introduced to the first team.

departures While Dennis Ruepp (back to Obermais), Afrim Umer (back to Bozen 96) and Fabian Raffl (St. Martin) followed the call of the upper league, Dominik Brunner, Fabian Pilser and Thomas Reinstadler will be with SC Passeier in the coming season stand on the spot. Johannes Hofer and Thomas Lanthaler, on the other hand, have hung up their football boots, with Lanthaler mainly devoting himself to the board of AFC Moos. Patrick Kofler left the club because of his studies.

Start of training and previous results AFC Moos resumed training on Tuesday, July 17th. In the cup game, Christian Pixner's boys were narrowly eliminated against St. Martin. In the first leg, Moos had to admit defeat to the “Mortiners” 0:5, but in the second leg, which was played on Wednesday evening, Martin Ramiro Lago & Co. prevailed 5:1. Moos was also successful on the first matchday of the championship and beat Neugries 3-1, with Lukas Spechtenhauser, Martin Ramiro Lago and new signing Matthias Prünster getting on the scoresheet. On the second matchday, Moos will face newly promoted Bozner Boden.
