State league season 2012-13: This is AS Virtus Don Bosco

The club from the state capital, which was founded 67 years ago, finished the last state league championship under the leadership of coach Massimo Bertinato in fifth place with 48 points. However, after three years on the coaching bench of Virtus Don Bosco, Bertinato moved back to his regional league rivals in Meran, where he followed in Paul PIRcher's footsteps. Bertinato's position this season is held by Paolo Tornatore.

There was also a change in the board: Robert Oberrauch is the new president of the Bolzano club and at the team presentation in August he defined the team's goal as follows: “You don't just play to win. Above all, our main aim is to develop the skills of players and help the best to pursue a professional career in football."

Additions

Daniele Lazzaro, Alex Chiodo, Alex Danieli, and Manuel Mariz, who only moved to Virtus at the beginning of September, were brought into the team from the newly promoted league FC Bozen 96. Also new are Demis Franzoso, Gianluca Salvadori, Albian Krasniqi (all Bozner Boden), Davide Volante (Oberau) and Robert Larcher (Lana). In addition, defender Maximilian Huber was promoted from his own youth team to the first team.

departures

While Marco Primerano, Michael Osti and Stefano Colla moved to Neugries, Daniel Loncini and Mehmet Lekaj moved to city rivals Bozner Boden. Janusch Garzisi, on the other hand, said goodbye to Meran.

Start of training and previous results

Virtus Don Bosco resumed preparation for the season in July, achieving two wins and five defeats in the championship so far. While Bertoli & Co. prevailed against Milland and Weinstraße Süd, they lost against the two promoted teams Latsch and Bozner Boden, as well as against FC Meran, Neugries and Moos. The cup adventure of the Oberliga and Landesliga has already come to an end for the state capital. They were eliminated in the first phase.
