State league season 2012-13: This is SV Milland

It was already clear in mid-June for the team from Milland that they would be chasing the top spot in the national league in the 2012/13 season. The Eisacktaler club just had to wait for the association's official circular. Almost a month later it was official and Milland managed to get promoted to the highest amateur league in South Tyrol at the green table.

In 2009/2010, the Eisacktal team played in the regional league for one season, but in the end they were relegated as fourth from bottom. In the 2012/2013 championship, the Brixen suburbs want to fight successfully to stay in the league. In addition to the many additions, there was also a change in the coaching staff: Walter Zingerle, who comes from Bozner FC, has taken the coaching reins into his hands.

Additions While Matthias Mair moved to Milland from the upper league team Brixen and Daniel Hafner from the relegated state league team Teis Villnöß at Tinkhof, two youth players from FC Südtirol, defender David Seeber and midfielder Christoph Larcher, came to the Eisacktal club. Also new are Davide Defrancesco (Aicha), Manuel Mutschlechner (Mühlbach Rodeneck), Daniel Doro (Neustift), Michael Gantioler (Barbian Villanders) and Stefan Griesser (Freienfeld). In addition, two strikers from our own youth team, Gerryson Gabrieli and Patrick Rossi, were introduced to the first team.

departures While Simon Larcher left the club due to his studies, Matthias Fiwickeler, Kurt Obexer and Christoph Reifer hung up their football boots. Michael Putzer, on the other hand, is taking a break.

Start of training and previous results

Almost a month after the promotion games, namely on July 23rd, Milland started preparing for the 2012-13 season and in the first round of the cup the Eisacktaler and league rivals Natz were eliminated in a three-way tie against Plose. Michael Burger & Co. achieved a 3:3 draw against Natz, but they had to admit defeat to Plose 2:4. In the 2012/2013 national league championship, however, Milland is still without a point. On the first matchday they were brought to their knees 4-0 by their colleagues from Pichl Gsies, who have also only been playing in the national league this year, and the 2-2 draw against Latzfons Verdings last Sunday was denied them at the green table.
