Will St. Pauls land a liberating blow against Meran?

With 29 points in 15 first half games, the traditional club FC St. Pauls secured the autumn championship title at the end of November. But in the second half of the season, the blue and whites are inhibited: Gunther Staffler & Co. only had one win and four defeats in the spring. On Sunday, the league leaders from Meran, FC Meran, will be guests. Not an easy task, but perhaps the Überetschers will be able to break free against the new frontrunners. The first leg ended in a 1-1 draw.

The 21st matchday in the national league offers even more treats. Two other top clubs in the seventh league, Stegen (3rd) and Neugries (5th), face each other. Neugries is the draw king in the regional league, as every other game ends in a draw for the Bozen suburban club. The Pusterers, on the other hand, are something like the minimalist club. Although they were only able to score 24 goals and conceded 20 at the same time, Stegen has already achieved ten wins this year. In the first leg, Stegen and Neugries drew 1-1.

Kellerderby Vintl - Milland

But there is also an interesting pairing at the bottom of the table, namely the basement duel between Vintl (16th) and Milland (15th). For the “Vintila” a win is mandatory if they want to maintain a minimal chance of staying in the league. But Milland also needs a “threesome” so that the gap to the saving bank does not gape. Milland won the first leg at home with a 1-0 win.

Virtus Don Bosco is the team of the moment in the national league. The people of Bolzano are still undefeated in the second half of the season (13 points) and of course want to defend their clean slate. However, the green-whites are going against Bozen ground. In the fall, Virtus narrowly had to admit defeat 0-1. This problem needs to be eliminated on Sunday. All games in the state league start at 16 p.m.
