Lega Pro: FC Südtirol starts in Como - first home game against Bassano

It starts at Lake Como on Sunday, August 31st. The first home game is scheduled for September 7th. But nothing is certain yet, because for the first time this year the championship games will be spread over the entire weekend. The games will therefore take place from Friday to Monday. On Sunday the games will kick off at five different times: at 11 a.m. (one game), at 12.30:14.30 p.m. (two games), at 16:18 p.m. (four games), at XNUMX p.m. (three games) and at XNUMX p.m. (three games). ).

But the opponents are fixed. In the first home game in the Drusus Stadium in Bolzano, FCS newcomers Bassano will be welcomed by sports director Werner Seeber. Difficult games come right from the start. On the third match day, Coach Rastelli's boys duel with Venezia, on the fourth the white-reds meet Monza and on the fifth the opponents are Cremonese. Even at the end of the championship things are happening in quick succession. The season ends with two difficult away games against Pavia (36th matchday) and Vicenza (38th matchday).

The longest away trip is Sassari

The longest away trip awaits the South Tyroleans in Sassari – Sardinia against Torres (14th matchday). There are 19 other teams in district A of the Lega Pro, in which the FCS also plays. Including Novara. The team from Piedmont will probably be nominated to Serie B and Poggibonsi will probably move up to the third division. 12 teams come from Lombardy, Albinoleffe, Como, Cremonese, FeralpiSalò, Lumezzane, Pavia, Pro Patria, Alessandria, Giana Erminio, Mantova, Renate and Monza. Two teams are promoted, three are relegated

The winners of each group are promoted directly to Serie B. The second and third placed teams in the three groups and the two best fourth placed teams play in the playoffs for promotion. The quarter-finals will be played in a knockout system.

Three teams per group will be relegated. The last-placed team goes straight to Serie D. The second-to-last team plays with the third-, fourth- and fifth-from-last in a playout to stay in the league. The 16th will meet the 19th and the 17th will meet the 18th. This will be a home and away game.
