Lega Pro: FC Südtirol new league leaders

After the successful opening game in Bergamo against AlbinoLeffe, today was the home debut for FC Südtirol. Mantua, who also started the new championship with a win, was a guest at the Drusus Stadium. The FCS finally wanted to celebrate a home win again after their last success in front of their own fans was over seven months ago, when Cremonese was defeated 3-1 in Bolzano. FCS coach Stroppa had to do without the suspended Lima. The White-Reds started off very offensively. Already in the fourth minute, Hannes Fink shot the ball just past the right post. In the 22nd minute, Tait crossed into the penalty area for Tulli, who only hit the crossbar. Seven minutes later, Fink was denied by visiting goalkeeper Bonato. So it remained a goalless draw in the first half. After the break, the White-Reds continued their attacks and scored in the 49th minute, but referee Alessandro Meleleo canceled Tait's header because it was offside. Mantua did better just three minutes later: Scalise crossed into the penalty area to Ruopolo, who gave the guests a 1-0 lead. Caridi could then have increased the score to 2-0 after a counterattack, but missed Coser's goal.

Tulli equalizes, Gliozzi scores the winning goal In the 67th minute, FC Südtirol scored the equalizer they deserved. After a nice interaction between Tait and Furlan, Tulli scored to make it 1-1. Just a minute later, Maritato had the next goal on his feet, but goalkeeper Bonato was able to save it. A shocking moment for the FCS in the 74th minute, but Dalla Bona's free kick was scratched off the line.

Ten minutes before the end of the game, Tait missed with his head after a pass from Maritato. FC Südtirol now put everything on one card, attacked vehemently and was rewarded in the 87th minute. Gliozzi, who came on as a substitute, slid into Crovetta's cross and pushed the ball over the line to make the final score 2-1.
