Lewandowski on Madrid rumors: Change of agent “has nothing to do with it”

Munich (SID) Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has denied a connection between his change of agent and a possible transfer request. The Pole has been repeatedly linked to Real Madrid for some time. "No, that has nothing to do with it. These speculations are funny, but they don't interest me," said Lewandowski after the 0-0 draw against Hertha BSC on Sky. It was announced on Thursday that the 29-year-old had separated from his advisor Cezary Kucharski after ten years. In addition to Maik Barthel, Lewandowski will be represented by Pini Zahavi in the future. The 74-year-old Israeli is considered a shrewd mastermind in international football - and also has excellent relationships with Real Madrid. Lewandowski is under contract with FC Bayern until 2021. Nevertheless, there are always rumors. Lewandowski said he hadn't heard anything from Real yet. He doesn't know whether his new agent has contacted Los Blancos. Coach Jupp Heynckes said on Friday on the subject: "It's allowed for a player to change his agent. That doesn't mean anything at all. FC Bayern is not a seller."
