Luca Lomi: “There is strength in calm”

Luca Lomi, the championship starts on Sunday: How well prepared is your team for the upcoming adventure? The boys worked well. During the month and a half of preparation they demonstrated willingness and willingness to make sacrifices. As far as the current form is concerned, we have some personnel problems. Demetz and Conci have just returned from injuries, Perri is not yet available, Speziale has been injured all week and midfielder Diakhatè is having visa complications which means he cannot play at the moment.

What do you tell your players before their first encounter? There will be great excitement as most of my players have never played in Serie D before. My job will be to calm them down so that the boys can walk onto the field with a clear head.

The first hurdle is called Darfo Boario. A team that was also promoted in the previous season. What can you tell us about the opponent? As I found out, Darfo Boario is a physically strong and hard-playing team that has some exceptional talent. For example, I know midfielder Arioli from my playing days. At 40 years old, he is a veteran like no other (we would also like to include Inacio Pià among the special players. He was under contract with Atalanta, Napoli, Catania and Torino in the past, editor's note).

How do you experience the Serie D debut with Virtus Bozen from a personal perspective? I am proud that as a coach I have the opportunity to compete in such an important championship with a team like Virtus Bozen. Although I had already coached a Serie D team at Mezzocorona in the past, that season was very difficult. The signs are completely different this year, so you can confidently say that my real Serie D debut will happen on Sunday. And of course I want to enjoy that.
