Lukas Hofer shoots Virtus Bozen to a surprise victory

Even before kick-off, coach Luca Lomi was confronted with two pieces of bad news: both midfielder Majdi (ill) and striker Timpone (injured) were not available to the coach. Nevertheless, Virtus started the game with commitment and never really let the second-place team get going in the first half due to their very high pressing. There was only one threat in front of Tenderini's box, but Carletti's sharp cross found no taker.

After the break, Pergolettese increased the number of strikes and pushed Virtus into their own half. But the Talferstadt defensive block held firm.
