Manuel Fischlerler gives the FCS an important away win in Prato

The game between FC Südtirol and Prato, which was played in Pistoia, started with a bang. After 14 minutes, Giannetti gave the guests a 1-0 lead. The attacker pushed a wonderful cross from Schenetti into the net. It was Giannetti's first goal in FC Südtirol's uniform. Just a minute earlier, Filehner had already missed a huge opportunity when he took a cross with his chest, but then smashed the ball over the crossbar.

After around 20 minutes, the home team equalized. Massimiliano Vieri, the brother of Cristian “Bobo” Vieri, headed a Sacenti cross into Iacobucci’s goal. As a result, Prato was the much more active team in this hard-fought game, but Reis (33') and Lamma (42') made poor mistakes.

Six minutes had been played after the break when Campo took a free kick. Layeni's fist defense landed at Legittimo, whose following shot went well over the goal.

Even after that, the FCS dominated the game. In the 58th minute, Fiwickeler fed Giannetti, who reached for the ball and it then hit the post. After a little more than an hour, a clear handball in the penalty area by Prato was not punished and the FCS was therefore denied a clear penalty.

In the 73rd minute, Campo tried a penalty after Chiavarini, who had replaced Giannetti, was brought down. The winger's shot was easy prey for Layeni. Just 120 seconds later, the referee gave a penalty – for Prato. Grea brought Benedetti down in the penalty area and the fouled man converted safely. Contrary to the run of the game, the home team led 2-1 in the second half.

Just five minutes later, Iacobucci was there after a serious mistake by Cascone, who cleared the ball in front of the onrushing Reis. Three minutes before the end of regular time, Manuel Filehner equalized after a solo effort, which was a complete surprise.

But it got even better, because just 60 seconds later “Fisch” struck again. He grabbed the ball in midfield, sprinted towards the Prato goal, dribbled past the advancing Layeni and put the ball in the net. The joy of the FCS Südtirol players after the final whistle was of course boundless.
