MY DREAM TEAM: Fabio Bertoldi presents his top 11

The exceptional striker from Bozner FC would let his dream team march onto the field in a 3-5-2 system. He doesn't put himself forward - instead he chose the following players for the team.

TOR

Ferdinando Antino (career ended) : “I played with him in Salurn, where he was at the peak of his career. A true exceptional talent.”

DEFENSE

Bernardo Ceravolo (currently Bozner FC / Oberliga) : “I would deploy him as a right-back in the back three. He is the most complete defender I have ever played with.”

Thomas Frendo (career ended) : “Assumes the central central defender position. If Ceravolo is the most complete defensive man, then he is certainly the most elegant.”

Matteo Tulipano (currently Bozner FC / Oberliga) : “I played both with and against him. That's why I can say from my own experience that strikers he guards don't have an easy existence. He doesn't give you an inch of space as an attacker, he's in a class of his own in the air and is also physically strong."

MIDFIELD Roberto Zadra (currently Laag / 2nd amateur league) : “A war horse. He is the perfect man in front of the defense because he can block the spaces ideally. Is a tireless and efficient worker, in many situations he also acts as the fourth defender and is therefore indispensable for my top 11.”

Fabio Zadra (currently Weinstraße Süd / Oberliga) : “In my opinion, he is a playmaker par excellence. His strengths? The technique and of course the mental and tackling strength.”

Mattia Pareti (currently Bozner FC / Oberliga) : “A very fine player. It combines quality and quantity and can be found in every corner of the field in the game. It's just a shame that he has physical problems so often. From my point of view, one of the best midfielders in the league.”

WING Alberto Nachira (career ended) : “I would put Nachira on the left. A huge talent that I played with in Salurn. The way he sometimes ate up his opponents on the wing was great. He was also a hothead and often got a red card (laughs). It's a shame that he never wanted to move to the major league and 'only' played in the regional league and below. He would probably have made his way into the highest regional league.”

Andrea Bovolenta (career ended) : “I can still remember our first year together in the league. I scored 17 goals, he scored 15 – that was quite memorable. 'Bovo' is not only a great guy on the field, but also outside of it."

STORM

Max Dalpiaz (currently Tramin / Oberliga) : “I was only on the field with him for six months – unfortunately, I have to say now. Players as complete as him are a true rarity in the top league: nice shot, intelligent game, strong in the air – these are just a few of his outstanding characteristics.”

Joachim Degasperi (career ended) : “If you watch him play football, it quickly becomes clear that he played in higher leagues. 'Jack' is simply a clever attacker, a fox who is ideal at breaking away from the defender and moving properly. I learned a lot from him.”

TRAINER

Flavio Toccoli (currently Bozner FC / Oberliga) : “He was the most important coach of my career. I grew the most under his care, both as a footballer and as a person.”
