After regional league relegation: Neumarkt with a radical change of course

The ambitions were completely different: With players like Alex Soffiatti, Luca Foldi, Marco Primerano and Cesare Scaratti, Neumarkt wanted to establish themselves in the national league after winning the championship in the 2015/16 season. In the end, things turned out completely differently with the surprising relegation.

The club management reacted to this and left no stone unturned in the summer. Only five (!) players remain from last year's team: Benjamin Cimadon, Feta Osmani, Gianluca Patton, Marian Pichler and Roberto Venerina. “The so-called top performers have disappointed, left the club or were no longer confirmed,” the club says. The squad was therefore filled with some scene insiders (such as Rudi Bocher/Hochpustertal, Nicolò Laratta/Frangart or Abdenaim En Naim/Bozner Boden), but above all with youth players who had been loaned out to other clubs and have now been brought back.

The result is a very young team, which is trained by neo-coach Filiberto Weber from Cavalese and is aiming for a place in the middle of the 1st amateur league table.
