Next bankruptcy: St. Georgen struggles with himself and the referee

The Pusterer trainer came across several controversial decisions in the final phase. In the 95th minute, Peter Mair's equalizer was disallowed due to a questionable offside position. Afterwards, emotions ran high among the home team: Mair was even sent off the field for derogatory gestures.

What remains is an extremely bitter summary of the football afternoon in the Bruneck school zone. The disaster had already become apparent after just a few minutes of play. A lack of attention from St. Georgen's defense allowed Lorenzo Marietti to score the visitors' lead in the 18th minute. Afterwards, Armin Mayr and Co. tried to build up pressure, but there was only rarely any real danger of scoring. After the turbulent final phase, St. Georgen, who had competed without the injured Eisenstangen and Veronese, ended up as losers.

Patrizio Morini couldn't just let this fact slide after the final whistle. “The referee team showed us no respect. Some decisions are incomprehensible. However, the defeat cannot only be attributed to the referees, because we didn't look good when we conceded a goal either."

While Caronnese ended a five-game winless streak, St. Georgen remained without a point in the seventh of the last eight championship games and thus slipped further into the playout zone.

In the second catch-up game, Mezzocorona lost 0-1 against Seregno. Comi scored the decisive goal.
