Naturns striker Felix Rungg: “The team’s success is above all else”

3:1 against Meran, 2:1 against Virtus Don Bosco, 3:0 against Moos. With these three wins, Naturns gained a lot of self-confidence in preparation. What do you hope for the second half of the season?

The test match victories certainly gave us self-confidence, but we shouldn't overestimate the victories. The three points will be awarded on Sunday and we have to deliver our best performance on that day. The second half of the season will be very exciting, we will give everything in every game and try to get the most out of it.

Second in the table from Dro is waiting for the start. The first leg ended in a draw. What do you expect from this game?

I expect a very even game, as was the case in the first leg. In this year's league season the balance of power is extremely balanced, so you can win against any opponent, but you can also lose against anyone. But of course we hope that we can score a three-pointer in front of our home crowd.

The SSV starts the second half of the season from twelfth place with 16 points. Is the young team ready for the relegation battle?

The team is young in terms of age, but most of the players have been playing in the fighting team for a few years and therefore already have experience. I also see the experience we had last year as a positive aspect. This means we can deal with the whole situation a little better.

Which teams do you see as the toughest competitors in the fight to stay in the league and how many points will you need in the end?

I think that every team, apart from the top three or four teams, can still end up in the relegation vortex. As things stand in Serie D at the moment, it is very likely that not just three teams will be relegated, but four or even five. That's why I think at least 40 points will be necessary to avoid relegation.

Felix, you are the yellow-blue team's top scorer with seven goals. How many goals did you set as your goal?

At the beginning of the season I set myself the goal of scoring more goals than last year and I've already achieved that. However, what is important is not the success of the individual, but the success of the team. He stands above everything. I would immediately sign that I won't score any more goals, but that we will save ourselves.
