New coach, old suffering: The FCS remains without points against AlbinoLeffe

In his debut as FCS coach, Alberto Colombo had to make do without the injured Fink, Tulli and Obodo. The new coach relied on a 4-4-2 system against AlbinoLeffe and sent the same defensive line onto the field as his predecessor William Viali. In midfield he deployed Broh and Cia on the wings and Furlan and Bertoni in the center, while the Gliozzi-Lupoli duo played in attack from the start.

In the first half, the game progressed at a leisurely pace - there were largely no significant opportunities. Both teams recorded their first shots through set pieces, but even there the goal threat was limited. From the game, Montella had the best chances for the guests (16th) and Gliozzi in the FCS ranks (33rd), but their efforts remained unrewarded. So the teams said goodbye to the dressing rooms with the score at 0-0.

Goal conceded at the last second Even after the break, there was little convergence between the two offensive lines. AlbinoLeffe missed the biggest opportunity to take the lead with just under a quarter of an hour to go when Mastroianni was only able to be stopped by Tait in a promising position at the last moment. Because nothing exciting happened afterwards, there were many signs in the Drusus Stadium that pointed to a goalless draw. At the last minute, however, everything turned out differently: FCS defender Di Nunzio was hit by the ball in the penalty area, so the referee immediately awarded a penalty. Loviso safely converted this to make it 1-0 and thus sealed the victory for the guests.

After this new setback - the 0-1 defeat against AlbinoLeffe was the third defeat in a row - FC Südtirol remains in dangerous contact with the playout ranks. With eight laps to go, the white-reds have to look backwards more than ever.

New coach, old suffering: The FCS remains without points against AlbinoLeffe

FC Südtirol lost the first game under the direction of Alberto Colombo. Michael Cia and Co. unfortunately lost 30-0 to AlbinoLeffe on the 1th Lega Pro match day. Unfortunate because the goal came in the last minute.
