Oberliga and Landesliga: The new season starts on August 31st

With a view to the upcoming 2013/14 Oberliga and Landesliga season, the association officials have already defined the key dates for the coming months. The first half of the season starts in both leagues on the last Sunday in August and ends exactly three months later on November 30th.

In the Oberliga, the second half of the season starts after the winter break on February 1st, while operations in the State League will not resume until February 22nd. The upper league teams only have to play once during the week, namely on Wednesday, October 15th. Around Easter, however, the game will be played on Easter Monday, while the championship will end on May 10th with the 30th and final matchday.

Meanwhile, the regional league clubs have two “English weeks” on the program: one during the first half of the season (Wednesday, September 17th) and one in the spring (Wednesday, April 29th). Around Easter the game is played on Holy Saturday. The championship ends on Sunday, May 24th.
