He played three seasons for FC Südtirol and “after persistent injuries he wants to get back to higher tasks in the league,” explained press spokesman Alex Rungger. With Luca Chiarion, a very safe, central defender was brought in who should give the already strong defense further stability.

In addition, goalie Patrick Pietersteiner returned to his home club - which makes it easier to cope with the farewell to Julian Torggler (Tramin) and Patrick Pasquazzo (FC Bozen 96). Fabian Obrist (St. Pauls), Joey Filippin (Mezzocorona), Daniel Holzner (Lana), Berndt Mair (coach Kiens) and Stefan Hilber (Stegen) also said goodbye to St. Georgen.

Coach Patrizio Morini's goal is to finish in the top five. Then the trainer would be satisfied. With this force, this undertaking should be entirely possible.
