Oberliga: Ahrntal, St. Pauls, St. Martin and St. Georgen celebrate

The seventh strike

This series is starting to get scary. St. Georgen celebrated its seventh league victory in a row on Wednesday evening. In a hard-fought game, the “Jergina” had the better end and brought Salurn to its knees 1-0. The golden goal for the league leaders came in the third minute when Leo Brugger maneuvered the ball into the net.

The longed-for liberation

St. Pauls landed a liberating blow on the Talferwiesen against Bozner FC, who cannot win at home. Hansi Mair's header and Manuel Schieder's dry shot into the short cross corner gave the Überetscher a 2-0 lead after just ten minutes. When Bertoldi shortened the score for the home team with a shot on the move, the Talferstadt team regained hope. After the break, the outstanding referee sealed the deal with his second goal and Lattanzio. An extremely important victory for the “Paulsner” in the relegation battle.

The second defeat

Just three days after their first defeat of the current season, Brixen lost out for the second time. This time the Wachtler troops had to bow to SSV Ahrntal. Pipperger gave the home team the lead shortly before half-time, before Maurer and Franz Pittschieler made the final score after the break. The Großgasteiger protégés are in tenth place in the table.

The second “threesome”

St. Martin also scored two points away from home. The Saltuari troops brought AFC Eppan to their knees. The “Psairer” celebrated their second win in a row and made a huge leap into midfield in the table.

The sixth draw

The draw kings struck again on Wednesday. We're talking about Tramin's kickers, who took a point from Virtus Don Bosco. The Pomella team took the lead twice and the outstanding Michael Osti equalized twice. In addition to the four goals, there were also three dismissals, namely for Virtus goalie Torcasio (28th), Tramin's midfield strategist Arnaldo Kaptina (70th) and in the final phase for Virtus defender Nale. For Tramin it was the sixth points split of the current season - for the Talferstadt team it was the next small setback in the fight for the championship title.
