Oberliga: Ahrntal and Salurn are fighting for the top

Since Salurn left the field as a loser in Comano last weekend, but Ahrntal also shared the points with Levico, the Pusterers climbed to first place in the table. Dro, however, was able to move up to third place with a 2-1 win against Eppan.

On the tenth matchday, which kicks off this Sunday at 14.30 p.m., the two top South Tyrolean clubs have to compete against the promoted teams in the Oberliga. While the Unterlanders host FC Bozen 96, the “Teldra” are in the Passeier Valley. The teams from Salurn and Ahrntal with the same points have so far each recorded five wins, three draws and one defeat. However, the Pusterers lead the table thanks to the better goal difference.

The two newcomers St. Martin and Bozen 96, however, started the new season very differently. The “Mortiner” are in fifth place in the table, while the Bolzano team are still in the bottom half of the table. However, coach Pietro Armenise's boys seem to have found their way out of the crisis: two weeks ago they celebrated their first win of the season in Brixen and last Sunday they celebrated at home against Alense.

In addition to the games St. Martin - Ahrntal and Salurn - FC Bozen 96, another South Tyrolean derby will take place on Sunday: the team from Eppan will be playing in Tramin. Obermais, on the other hand, would like to celebrate their first victory in the 2012/2013 championship in front of their home crowd and under the leadership of new coach Marco Bertoncini. Brixen welcomes Mori, while Plose meets Alense in a long-distance duel and Naturns will travel to Levico.
