Oberliga: All eyes are on the Drusus Stadium

Both the Talferstädter and the Pusterer team can go into the game on a high note after their successes in the last few days. While Virtus Bozen climbed to second place in the table after three wins in a row, St. Georgen won the Euregio Cup last weekend and wrote a small piece of South Tyrolean sports history. In addition, both teams confidently reached the cup semi-finals on Wednesday. Only in the league things are not going well for “Jergina”, because there the Morini team has already suffered two defeats and is fighting in the lower midfield of the table to keep up with the top teams in the league. Thanks to the return of defender Marco Zentil (last suspended), Virtus Bozen can play with their best line-up, only the use of Manuel Mariz is a small question mark. St. Georgen, on the other hand, has to do without the long-term injured Alessio Orfanello, and Roberto Mirri is also injured. The summit will kick off this evening at 20:45 p.m.

But the Überetscher have also gotten a bit out of step lately and slipped to the bottom of the table after three games without a win in a row. An exciting fight can be expected, and if Tramin coach Hugo Pomella has his way, the points can stay with his team in the Unterland this weekend. In the other games of the fifth round of the league, bottom team SSV Brixen and Rotaliana, Mori and Bozner FC, league leaders Naturns and Lavis, Alense and Calciochiese as well as Comano and Mezzocorona will meet.
