Oberliga: Promotion duel ends in a draw - Salurn remains at the top

After Bozen 96 lost all of its games against St. Martin last year, the crisis-hit Bolzano team managed a draw against last season's national league champions on the 7th matchday of the league season. It was Coach Armenise's team that took the lead after just five minutes thanks to a goal from Perri. It wasn't until the middle of the second half that Daniel Lanthaler was able to score the equalizer for the guests. As the game progressed, it was mostly the passers who pushed for the winning goal, but this was denied them, especially in stoppage time, due to a lack of opportunity. In the end, both teams had to be content with sharing points, with Bozen 96 being able to celebrate their second point win of the season after a turbulent week and St.Martin consolidating fifth place in the table with the point from the Drususstadion.

However, the front runner from Salurn remained undefeated. Coach Davide Zoller's team defeated Eppan 3-0. Although the Überetscher were able to keep up with the strong Salurner team for long stretches of the game, it was the goals from Bert, Dalpiaz and Remondini in the last 20 minutes that sealed a clear defeat for the home team.

In the third South Tyrolean derby on this day, second-placed Ahrntal achieved a 2-0 victory over Tramin. With their fourth win of the season, Johannes Piffrader's team remains close on the heels of the league leaders from Salurn.

Although Obermais didn't find its way to victory in the seventh attempt, it was able to at least avoid its fifth defeat in a row thanks to a penalty from Pamer in the fifth minute of stoppage time. The game in Dro ended 2-2 after a heated final phase. While Mori and Naturns also drew 1-1 and Comano and Brixen 0-0, Plose, thanks to a 3-1 win, was able to enjoy three very important points in the direct clash with their table neighbors from Levico.
