Oberliga: Brixen wants to avoid a total false start

The start of the third match day took place on Friday evening with the games between Bozner FC and Virtus Bozen and St. Paul's and St. Martin . There will be a particularly tough duel on Sunday when St. Georgen welcomes SSV Brixen. The “Jergina” have had an ideal start to the new season and have six points after two games. The 6-3 win in the cup against Partschins on Wednesday also shows how strong St. Georgen is at the moment. The Domstadt team can only dream of such a situation at the moment: Klaus Schuster's team is at the bottom of the table with zero points, and captain Markus Fiechter is currently missing an important defensive support. But: “When dogs are hit, they bark” – that’s what an old saying goes. And that's why Brixen could be dangerous in a duel with St. Georgen - also because a total false start should be avoided.

In the second purely South Tyrolean duel, Naturns welcomes SSV Ahrntal. The Lower Vinschgers won their opening game against Comano 5-1, but lost 0-3 in St. Georgen last Sunday. The “Teldra”, on the other hand, are still waiting for their first championship win of the new season and are holding one point in the table.

The other two South Tyrolean teams are at work away from home: Obermais wants to get its first win of the new season in Benacense, while Tramin wants to continue its dream start with six points from two games in Arco.
