Oberliga: The footballers are in the starting blocks

The most “explosive” is probably the game between SSV Brixen and St. Georgen. The Wachtler squad achieved something unique in the first half of the season, namely a win against the autumn champions from Pustertal. First and foremost, the class leader wants to score points in order to fix its comfortable position in the table so as not to lose valuable points in the duel with competitors Levico and Virtus Don Bosco on the way to Serie D.

In the second domestic duel, Tramin and Ahrntal face each other. The Unterlanders, who can count on the services of top scorer Daniel Pfitscher again in the second half of the season, can look back on an injury-free preparation. The “Teldra” is completely different, where the personnel situation is tense, especially in attack. Top attacker Manuel Pipperger will be out for at least three more weeks after an operation on his hand, while Philipp Aichner has to miss the game due to back pain. In the first half of the season the game ended 2-2.

In the third South Tyrolean derby the two newcomers meet, namely Virtus Don Bosco and St. Pauls. While the people of Bolzano still want to fight for a place in Serie D, the Überetscher team, who are plagued by injuries, want to “grab” the way to stay in the league. In order to achieve these goals, both teams are aiming to start the second half of the season with a win. The promoted duel in the first half of the season ended with a point split (2:2).

There are also home games at the start of the second half of the season for Eppan (against bottom team Fersina) and Salurn (against Lavis), while St. Martin in Passeier (at Calciochiese) and Bozner FC (in Levico) have to play away.
