Oberliga: A relegation crash rounds off 2017

On Sunday there will be a duel between Obermais, currently in 12th place with 16 points, and Ahrntal, currently in second to last place with 9 points. A groundbreaking duel for the “Teldra”: a victory would mean taking a big step towards a safe shore, but a defeat would push it further and further into the distance. With a win, Obermais could take a decisive step towards midfield. At Ahrntal the attack is tight: with 10 goals, the Pusterers have the weakest attack in the league.

There's already a treat on Saturday afternoon at the youth center in Brixen: There the home team, currently in fourth-to-last place in the table, will meet the fifth-placed team. St. Paul's. While Brixen gained a lot of self-confidence with their 5-4 win over Bozner FC last weekend, the Überetscher team is in trouble: they recently suffered three 2-0 defeats in a row.

Two other South Tyrolean table latecomers face difficult away tasks: Naturns is seventh in the table. Comano is a guest, Bozner FC has to finish fourth in the table. Lavis ran. League leaders Virtus Bozen, who competed during the week Signing of the Danish professional Niels-Peter Mørck made people sit up and take notice, but will face Benacense at home.
