Oberliga: The first second half of the season will take place today

Like last Sunday, there are two South Tyrolean derbies on the program today. The “cracker” takes place in Salurn, where the Unterlandlers welcome Ahrntal. After a fantastic autumn series, both teams haven't really got up to speed in the second half of the season. Both teams got their first point of 2014 after two defeats just last Sunday. Salurn wrested a point from Calciochiese, Ahrntal did so in front of their own crowd against Mori. Now the next meters are due on Wednesday evening. In the first half of the season, the “Teldra” put the Oberliga Dino Salurn in their place with 3-1. Dalpiaz & Co. certainly want to take revenge for this.

The second local derby takes place in St. Martin in Passeier, where Naturns is a guest. Both teams urgently need points to catch up with the secure midfield. The “Mortiner” currently have a better starting position, as they are in 21th place with 12 points. Naturns could get within one point with a “threesome” in the derby. In the second half of the season, St. Martin was able to collect four points in three games, while Naturns only managed a single point. In the autumn, the Vinschgers literally won 2-1 in the last minute.

Can Tramin stop leader Comano?

A top game with South Tyrolean participation will take place in Comano between the Trentino team and Tramin. Comano has not lost a point in the second half of the season and the Unterlanders have not yet suffered a defeat in the spring series. So both teams are in top form. Tramin, currently in sixth place, could get within a length of Comano with a “threesome”. The home team, on the other hand, will not want to give up the lead they have gained in the table any time soon. Excitement is definitely guaranteed in this match.

There are also home games on Wednesday evenings for St. Georgen, Bozner FC and Plose. The “Jergina”, currently in tenth place in the table, await their neighbors Alense (11th), who have the same points. The penultimate Bozner FC, on the other hand, hosts the second-placed Calciochiese. But the Trentino team, who picked up one win and two draws in the second half of the season, are certainly on guard. Because Bozner FC will go into this match with a big heart after two wins in a row. If the Talferstädter team succeeds in their third success in a row, then staying in the league will certainly no longer be a utopia.

Plose at home against Trento – Brixen to Levico

Plose will face Trent at home, who have already won two games in the second half of the season. Meanwhile, the Regele squad recorded one win and two defeats in 2014. Plose competed in front of their own audience last Sunday. The club from St. Andrä only had to admit defeat 0-1 against leaders Comano. On September 1st at the start of the championship, Plose Trient played a 1-1 draw at the Briamasco Stadium.

After Levico, Brixen goes fifth in the table. The Bischofstädters are currently in ninth place in the Oberliga rankings. In the second half of the season there was a win, a draw for Gasser's players and, most recently, a 1-3 away defeat against Alense on Sunday. Now it's time for Brixen to get back on the road to success.
