Oberliga championship 2015/16 starts on August 30th

With a view to the upcoming 2015/16 league season, the association officials have already defined the key dates for the coming months. The first half of the season starts on the last weekend in August and ends three months later on November 29th. This time, however, the second half of the season does not start at the beginning of February, but on December 6th with the first match day.

This is followed by the winter break before the championship continues on Sunday, February 7th with the second match day of the second half of the season. The upper league teams have to play twice during the week, namely on Wednesday, October 7th and Wednesday, March 9th. However, the latter date still needs to be confirmed.

Since All Saints' Day falls on a Sunday this year, the eleventh matchday will be played on Saturday, October 31st, while around Easter the game will be played on Easter Monday (March 28th). The Oberliga championship ends on Sunday, May 8th.

The dates of the 2015/16 Oberliga season:

Start of the first half of the season: Sunday 30. August 2015

Weekly match day (7th match day): Wednesday, 7th October 2015

11st match day: Saturday: October 31, 2015

End of the first half of the season: Sunday, 29 of November 2015

Start of second half: Sonntag, 6. Dezember 2015

2nd matchday second half of the season: Sunday, 7th of February 2016

Weekly match day (7th match day): Wednesday, March 9, 2016 (to be confirmed after regional tournament programming)

Easter weekend: Monday, 28th of March 2016

End of second half: Sunday 8. May 2016
