Oberliga: Naturns stops St. Pauls - Virtus shakes everyone off

The Serie D relegated team from the state capital celebrated a 5-0 victory in the home game against Comano. Virtus leaves behind ASC St. Georgen, who had to settle for a 1-1 draw at home against Arco. Matthias Bacher saved the Pusterer a point in the final phase.

Surprise team St. Pauls has to let go from the top. The promoted team from Überetsch suffered their third defeat of the season in a 0-1 defeat in Naturns. An early goal from Martin Gander made the Vinschgers celebrate. They landed a longed-for break in the bottom of the table - just like SSV Brixen, who beat Benacense 3-2 at home. FC Obermais also scored an important point win. The Merano team defied the recently strong Tramin team to draw 1-1 away.

While Obermais, Brixen and Naturns are making up ground, Bozner FC and Ahrntal are suffering further setbacks. The Talferstädter were close to a surprise against Calciochiese, but lost 1-2 after conceding two late goals. The “Töldra”, on the other hand, were defeated by St. Martin 2:4. The Passeirians climb to ninth place in the table.

It was the Kellerkinder's big day in the top league: Naturns defeated third-placed St. Pauls and Brixen breathed a sigh of relief after a win against Benacense, only Bozner FC continued to tread water. At the top, Virtus takes sole command.
