TOP LEAGUE SERIES | Naturns: Without big brother Matthias

81 goals in four seasons – that's a number that Matthias Bacher recently scored on the Naturns lawn. However, he said goodbye in the summer and will be looking for goals for league rivals St. Georgen in the future. Naturns reacted and trusted in Andreas Nicoletti and Martin Gander, two young but very talented attackers. There has also been a drastic change in defense: regular goalkeeper Felix Piazzo is moving to the USA to study, and Alex Soffiatti is expected to take his place. Naturns is heading into the league for the third year in a row with a traditionally very young team.

The trainer Gustav Grünfelder. He has often formed the Naturns coaching team together with his brother Engl. In March of this year he took over the team from the fired coach Roberto Cortese and led them to stay in the league. Reason enough for the club management to extend Grünfelder's working paper by one season.

The players Andreas Nicoletti/Martin Gander. After Bacher's departure, the two youngsters should take care of the attack. Nicoletti (born in 1998 and therefore still a youth player) comes to Lower Vinschgau with the recommendation of 18 state league goals and is not considered one of the most promising talents in South Tyrolean football for nothing. The lightning-fast Gander (born in 1996) scored 2 times for Prad in the 23nd amateur league last year and can be the surprise in the Naturns attack.

The goal President Luis Pföstl sets the course: “We want to achieve a single-digit ranking and have nothing to do with relegation. We have the potential to do so if we work hard.”

If Naturns were a celebrity, then... Hollywood actor Dave Franco. Young, talented and with the absolute will to achieve something without the help of big brother (James Franco or in our case Matthias Bacher).
