Oberliga: St. Georgen extends league lead - DIE STIMMEN

After 6 matchdays Ahrntal was still without a win, but on the 7th matchday they got their first win. On the Talferwiesen, Bozner FC had no recipe against Ahrntal, in the 26th minute Stefan Parainer gave the guests the lead. A shot against the crossbar in the 35th minute should have woken up the home team, but the goal failed to materialize. Davide Lorenzi made the sensation perfect with a 2-0 win in the 53rd minute. In the table, Ahrntal moves from last to second to last place.

Daniele Conci converted a penalty before the break to make the final score 2-1. With the 6th win in the 7th game, St. Georgen is now the only team without a defeat and is extending its lead in the table.

The new second place in the table is Oberliga promoted St. Pauls, after the 1-0 home win against Comano.

Sunday in the Oberliga wasn't a good day for the Bozen clubs: second-placed Virtus Bozen had to settle for 1 point in Brixen, and bottom-placed Ahrntal forced Bozner FC to its knees. St. Georgen left no stone unturned against Tramin and extended their lead in the table.
