Oberliga: St. Georgen defeats Tramin - Naturns turns up the heat

While the big championship favorite Trient Comano dispatched 5-0, ASC St. Georgen kept pace with a hard-fought 2-1 in the top South Tyrolean duel with ASV Tramin. Hellweger gave Jergina the lead with a header immediately after the break. Lotti was able to equalize 1-1 with a wonderful shot from the turn, but Schwingshackl immediately put St. Georgen in the lead again. This was also the winning goal that sealed Tramin's second defeat in the second game.

Trento and Obermais thus overtake newly promoted Obermais, who scored 2-2 at FC Eppan. Bozner FC, on the other hand, celebrated their first “threesome” of the current season in a 3-2 win against Brixen. The match winner was double goalscorer Emanuele Bocchio.

However, the game with the most goals was played in Naturns, where the SSV converted a 0-2 half-time deficit into a 4-3 victory with a furious performance in the second half. Lanpacher, Mair, Hofer and Bacher turned the tables within 17 minutes.

Meanwhile, league newcomers Weinstraße Süd remained unbeaten on the second matchday. The Unterlanders took a 1-1 draw from Arco in the promoted duel.

After the second league matchday there are only two teams left with full points. These are the title contenders Trent and St. Georgen. SSV Naturns also provided a spectacle on Sunday.
